Home/About
Built by someone who's worked the trades.
I started on job sites at 14 and have spent most of my life in the trades and running businesses. Now I set up the answering and follow-up that hard-working tradespeople shouldn't have to chase.
Where I come from
Years in the trades before a single workflow.

Where it started
My dad's auto body business
My dad did auto body work for almost 40 years, owned his own business and taught me the importance of taking pride in your work.
-
Apprenticeship
Electrical apprentice
Worked under my brother-in-law, a master electrician, and learned the trade on the job.
-
Apprenticeship
Plumbing apprentice
Worked under my brother, a master plumber, who taught me that integrity in the field means doing right by the customer when no one's watching.
-
Trade school
Porter and Chester Institute of Technology
Completed the HVAC program and earned the formal training behind years of hands-on work.
-
4.5 years

Retail business with multiple storefronts
Owned and ran a retail business across several locations, managing staff and inventory and building lasting customer relationships.
-
Co-founder

On my own time
Building with AI tools
Started using and building AI tools for personal hobby projects, got hooked on what they could do, and that led to Kalus.

Today
Kalus
Answering and follow-up for trades businesses: missed calls, new leads, quotes and review requests, on the software you already use.
Why Kalus exists
Good tradespeople shouldn't lose work to paperwork.
There are real craftsmen and craftswomen out there with real skill and real potential. A lot of them struggle with the business side, or just don't want to deal with it. That's the whole reason I started Kalus.
You got into the trade to do the work, not to chase quotes at 9 p.m. or call back a voicemail you heard two days late. I've been on both sides: doing the work in the field, and running the business behind it.
So Kalus handles the answering and the follow-up. And because it's your name on the truck, nothing reaches a customer until you approve it.
What that means for you
Someone who gets how your day actually goes.
I speak your language
No tech talk. We talk about calls, quotes, jobs and reviews, because that's what I worked with for years.
You keep the final say
Every message starts as a draft for your OK. It only sends on its own when you tell me in writing.
It's all in your name
Your server, your accounts, your data. If you ever leave, you keep everything.
Let's talk shop.
A one-hour Audit of your calls, leads and quotes. If nothing would pay for itself, I'll tell you.
